old & new

A
re you starting something new this autumn?

I’ve told before that I love this time of the year, when everything gets a fresh start and the weather gets chillier. This autumn I’m especially excited since I’m starting something new but also going back to something old.

For the first time in many years my autumn doesn’t include new studies/jobs/city. Sometimes continuing with the familiar is so very comforting. Going back to something I know, something I understand and can live in without thinking too much.

Then there is this new thing. Which is much different from what I’ve tried before.

Ballet. I used to be a boxer. But now I’ve received my simple black leotard from France and have my powder ballet slippers ready to be sewn and can’t wait ’til next week when I, I don’t know..hit the barre for the first time. I’m not quite sure what to expect, but I’m up for the challenge to learn to do something new with my body. And also, there’s nothing better than the feeling of improvement.
